Inevitable Contradiction is more of a sandbox than a traditional roleplay. Here is your basic challenge: create meaningful characters and roleplay threads without posting more than 150 words per post. Want a more advanced challenge? Post in as few words as possible that still convey your character's actions, emotions, or whatever else necessary to create a thread that moves and tells a story. Have a desire to go all out? Write in haiku form or some other unique way while still adding something to the thread. However, none of these are "required" or hard and fast rules - they are challenges; however, expect that most players will not be writing longer posts. Because we are taking a sandbox method, guest-posting is enabled in the roleplay threads. Rules are still required, and not following the rules can earn guests a ban from the site. Currently, different genres will be in one forum, but that will eventually be sorted once we see what is used more often. Rules
Respect is a must
Treat everyone with dignity and fairness. Create your own RP threads and plots You are welcome to participate in threads marked open, but you are free to play out closed plots. Please follow guidelines posted for each roleplay created by another player. Read the rules
Please read the rules posted for each roleplay before participating. If it says "Closed", it is not open for guest or member play or discussion. If you are a member you may contact the RP starter by PM if you are really interested, but chances are they will turn you down because they already have a plan. Guests should also be aware that if they repeatedly ignore rules, they will be banned, and since we have no way to warn you via IM, it might be a surprise to you. Be aware of the guidelines for what you choose to join. Player consent is required
Godmodding and powerplaying are allowed so long as everyone in the thread has agreed to it before it happens. If you haven't gotten permission from everyone already involved, then you must do that first before taking control of other characters and their actions. No character limit
We will be using the subaccount mod once it opens for public use, but you must be a registered member to use it. You are free to use a single account or multiple accounts, but if you are using a single account, please add a tag to your post that indicates the character you are currently playing. We are rated PG-13
In accordance with the JCink Terms of Service, mature content is not allowable. Please fade to black in sexual scenes and limit excessive gore and violence. In character stays in character Please do not take offense at what characters do; there is a line between in character actions and out of character actions. If you are having difficulties with another player, please contact an administrator.
Spam will not be tolerated
You may post guest ads in the guest ad forum and nowhere else. We only accept guest ads from roleplay and discussion forums. If you are a member, you are free to link your site in your signature. |
